As many of you are aware, Fiona will be leaving her role as Home Manager at Melford Court to take up a new role as Clinical Advisor within the Stow Healthcare Group on a full-time basis. We are delighted to have recruited Mrs Sally Shadbolt, RN, to take up the role of Home Manager at Melford Court from Monday 21 January.
Sally is a very experienced care home manager, and a registered nurse. Her experience in care has seen her work for a number of operators, including Healthcare Homes and, most recently, Care UK.
Sally has helped take her current home, Cleves Place in Haverhill, from a ‘Good’ to an ‘Outstanding’ rating.
Sally will be bringing with her a new addition to Melford Court, her dog Noella a rescue dog originally from Cyprus. Noella has a remarkable character and loves attention from people and children considering her poor start in life. Her favourite toy is a tennis ball and if anyone gives up a little time to play with her she will become their friend very quickly. When first meeting her, its best to put your hand out for her to smell you, rather than patting her on the head, due to her limited sight and having been beaten – until she knows and trusts you she may be a little shy and nervous.
Sally is really delighted to be joining a family run group and is looking forward to working with you all, and to forming an excellent leadership team along with Angie. Sally is looking forward to meeting everyone and helping to continue the excellent progress the home has made since it was taken over.
We wish to thank Fiona for everything that she has done, and also to Angie who has helped lead the team with real passion and professionalism and will now be forming a strong partnership with Sally!
