On the 10th November, Stowlangtoft Hall opened its doors for the annual Christmas Fair with over 25 stalls ranging from handmade crafts and jewellery to children’s toys and games as well as demonstrations from the local model railway club; it really was a day for all the family to enjoy together.
The highlight of the day was a visit from Santa Claus himself who bought along two of his reindeer to the festivities. Children were able to meet Father Christmas in his magical Christmas grotto and pass on their Christmas wish list ready for the festive season before meeting Blitzen and Comet.
Families, staff and residents were treated to a special reindeer encounter before finishing the day with a memorable photo in Santa’s sleigh.
We were pleased to build on the success of last year’s event and the response from stall holders was incredible. It is great to be able to host such as special event in the home that residents are able to enjoy with their families. The event raised over £1000 for the resident activity fund which will pay for events and trips out in 2019. We would like to thank all of the volunteers who gave up their time to support the Christmas Fair. Plans are already in place for next year’s event which will take place in November 2019.
