We are very pleased to announce that Stow Healthcare has expanded its premium care brand into Essex with the acquisition of Attwood’s Manor care home in Halstead. The home is an elegant 19th Century country manor house that retains many of its original features and is located on the edge of the historic north Essex town of Halstead. We are delighted to have agreed the purchase of a care facility with such great potential.
Despite the home struggling for many years, we are confident that with the support of Essex County Council, the Care Quality Commission, and the local Halstead community, we can turn this home into one of the best residential care homes in Essex. As well as internal renovation works we are giving the home a fresh start with the brand-new name: ‘Halstead Hall’ which not only reflects the building’s grandeur, but the prominent location within a growing community.
Heather Choat, an experienced Home Manager, has been appointed to run the home and she will be working closely with the Stow Healthcare team to ensure quality of care is maximised.
This is excellent news for our company and for all our staff, with further opportunities for professional development as our group grows.
