Ford Place Activities Coordinators Karen Adams & Matthew Peace were named winners in the Care Home Activity Organiser category at the Great British Care Awards Regional final. These awards were held in October at the East of England showground in Peterborough amongst other industry professionals.

This Care Home Activity Organiser award aims to recognise staff who have demonstrated they can provide a ‘needs led’, varied and appropriate programme for care home residents. The winners of the award show exceptional skills, creativity and responsibilities in arranging activities.

The judges said “The undisputed eyes and ears of the home, activity co-ordinators, Karen and Matthew exude an undeniable and total heartfelt naturalness for their role: it’s plain to see they make a truly impressive duo with their profound level of giving and understanding.”
