Here at Brandon Park we were delighted to received a hugely generous donation from a former resident’s family to support us to buy a very special Interactive Table, which is bringing huge excitement to the residents at the home. If anyone hasn’t yet seen it in action, please do pop into the activities room to have a look. It provides a giant – large TV sized – screen, but which is interactive and can be used to play all sorts of games, including physical games, jigsaws and mental stimulation too. We can request all sorts of music to be played through it, and best of all, we can mobilise it and take it anywhere around the home, so that even residents being nursed in bed can see the benefit of the special screen.
These tables are excellent both for residents living with dementia, and those without any cognitive impairment. It is the first such table in a Stow Healthcare home, so Brandon Park is leading the way in technology innovation! Come and have a try!
