Many of you may have seen the ‘Pop it in the Post’ exhibition which we were lucky enough to have been loaned by the Postal Museum in London. The display told the history of the postal system, including banners with fun facts about the history of mail and authentic uniforms for everyone to try on.
The display sparked some great reminiscence activities with everyone sharing their stories about sending and receiving letters. Residents at Melford Court designed their very own Melford Court postal uniforms and even designed their own set of Melford Court stamps personalised to the home.
Great fun was had by all and we couldn’t resist posing for a photo in the uniforms! Huge thanks go to the Postal Museum for kindly lending us the display at no cost, as it was a lovely event for residents and visitors to the home alike!
